The California Autobody Association (CAA) is a non-profit trade association comprised of over 1000 individual and independent businesses within the automobile collision repair industry. The mission of the California Autobody Association is to enable to autobody industry to survive and prosper by helping its members produce a quality repair for the consumer at a fair price for a fair profit.

The mission of the Bureau of Automotive Repair is to protect and serve consumers while ensuring a fair and competitive marketplace and implementing a model motor vehicle emissions reduction program. We protect and serve consumers by making available information that educates them about their rights and responsibilities. We help ensure a competent and fair marketplace by establishing minimum standards of competency. We work to reduce motor vehicle emissions through California's Smog Check Program.
